About Arclaunch

Built by an author who got tired of the spreadsheet

I write middle-grade fiction. Which means I've lived the part of a book launch nobody warns you about — the ARC scramble. Arclaunch is what I built to get through mine.

You line up readers, send out early copies, and then you wait, and you guess. Who actually got the book? Who read it? Who posted a review, and where — did it land on Amazon, or just Goodreads? Every launch, I rebuilt the same messy spreadsheet, chased people over email, and never quite knew where I stood.

Arclaunch is the tool I wanted for my own launches. It keeps your reader list in one place, tracks reviews across the platforms that matter, shows your review rate at a glance, and tells you who still needs a nudge — you send it, in your own words — so you can run a launch calmly instead of by anxiety and guesswork.

Why it exists

I built it because I needed it. If you launch books too, I'd rather hand you this than watch you rebuild that spreadsheet.

Four things a spreadsheet won't tell you

and one an outsider wouldn't have built

Every product says it was built by someone who understands the problem. These are the decisions that show it.

Reported separately

Not every review is worth the same

Arclaunch sorts platforms into three groups — retail, discovery, and ARC platforms — and reports them separately. A review on Amazon moves your sales rank and your ad eligibility. Feedback inside NetGalley reaches neither.

Most trackers count them as one number. That number tells you you're doing fine when you aren't.

What can become a card

Your readers own their words

A review only becomes a share card when the reader submits it themselves and ticks the box. You can't consent on their behalf — and Arclaunch never scrapes a retail site or screenshots a review.

This one costs a feature. It's the right cost.

Two shelves, two rates

A middle-grade rate isn't an adult rate

Shelves keep different age bands, series and imprints apart, each with its own review rate. Arclaunch will add up your readers across all of them — but it refuses to blend the rates into one figure.

An average across two age bands describes neither of them.

One author, more than one name

Pen names live on the shelf, not the account, so a nudge to a middle-grade reader signs from the name they know — even if you write under something else on the next shelf over.

You only need this if you've actually shipped under two names.
